Support and guidance for farmers to develop economic models

Conference to review the work of the Association and farmers' movement in the first 6 months of the year.

The Provincial Farmers' Association has 170,845 members participating in activities at 2,191 grassroots branches. From the beginning of the year, the Association at all levels has proactively disseminated the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws to its members. Innovating the content and methods of operation and diversifying the forms of branch and association activities, in conjunction with improving the quality of consulting and service activities; supporting, training, and creating jobs to help farmers develop production, increase income, and improve the material and spiritual life of members.

The movements "Farmers compete in production, good business, unite to help each other get rich, reduce poverty sustainably", "Farmers participate in building new countryside, civilized urban areas"... have been widely deployed, attracting a large number of members to participate.

In the first 6 months of the year, the association at all levels had 15,494 members participating in training on science and technology transfer; technical guidance on implementing 17 models; 29,570 members participating in using digital platforms and 1,247 members having accounts on e-commerce platforms.

Maintain 989 savings and loan groups of the Social Policy Bank, with 35,237 members, total outstanding debt of over 1,800 billion VND; 276 savings and loan groups of Agribank , total outstanding debt of over 1,130 billion VND for 8,657 borrowing households.

By May 31, 2025, the Provincial Farmers Support Fund had reached over 79.2 billion VND, implementing 248 projects, with the participation of 1,948 households. In addition, in coordination with departments, branches, sectors, unions and business organizations, it provided consultation and job introduction to 1,342 people. Associations at all levels promoted and mobilized members and farmers to contribute more than 35,000 working days to participate in new rural construction...

In the coming time, the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee will continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness and quality of farmers' movements. Promote the movement of farmers participating in building cultural families, advanced farmer community models, and models of equal and happy farmer families.

Support and guide members to develop diverse household and farm economic models suitable to farmers' level and needs. Promote links between enterprises and cooperatives, professional farmer associations and farmer households to produce and trade according to the value chain.

On this occasion, the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee awarded certificates of merit to 15 individuals with many achievements and contributions to the association's work and the farmers' movement in Son La province.
