The model not only contributes to preserving the peace of the coastal route but also builds the image of Da Nang City as a safe and friendly destination, especially during the peak tourist season of 2025.
Prevent crime, protect tourists
Talking to CAND Newspaper reporters, Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches shared: Implementing the coordination program with the City Police, in the first 6 months of 2025, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches continued to effectively implement the model of "Coordinated patrols to ensure security and order for beach tourism". The patrol teams to ensure security and order for beach tourism (Patrol teams) have made many contributions to the fight against crime and protection of property of people and tourists.

Previously, in October 2024, Colonel Nguyen Phong Thinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Building the Movement to Protect National Security ( Ministry of Public Security ) directly surveyed and highly appreciated the model and effectiveness of maintaining security and order on the Da Nang coastal tourist route. Thereby, it was assessed that the patrol model to ensure security and order on the Da Nang coastal tourist route is one of the typical examples in the movement of the People to protect national security.
The replication of the model will contribute to maintaining peace of mind and satisfaction for tourists, creating the image of a safe and civilized tourist city. With practical effectiveness after one year of implementation, this model continues to be promoted by the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches and the City Police force in the 2025 tourist season, ensuring absolute safety for people and tourists coming to Da Nang, a friendly, attractive and livable destination.
With that effectiveness, after 1 year of implementing the model, the patrol teams have supported the search for 270 cases of lost children, handled 18 theft cases with 22 subjects arrested and handed over to the police for investigation. At the same time, they received and returned 44 cases of picking up lost property, including 12 cases of supporting foreign guests, many of which were valuable assets ranging from tens to hundreds of millions of VND. In addition, the patrol force also mobilized and seized 35 street vendors, and warned more than 60 cases of organizing meals and using loudspeakers after 10pm, causing public disorder.
In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, the patrol team detected and promptly prevented 5 law violations at the beach, including 3 cases of property theft, 1 case of tourist molestation and 1 case of suspected drug use. The subjects involved were handed over to the local police for further handling according to regulations.
At the same time, the patrol force also picked up lost property 24 times and returned it to the owner, including 8 cases of foreign tourists. Notably, one case of returned property was worth about 60 million VND. In addition, the patrol teams also closely coordinated with functional forces to ensure security and order at major events such as: Opening of the beach tourism season, April 30 - May 1 holidays, DIFF 2025 International Fireworks Festival...
For example, on April 18, a working group of the Tourism Order Management Team caught Tran Van Duc (born in 1987, residing in Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District) red-handed stealing a handbag from a Russian tourist who was swimming in the sea. The stolen property included an iPhone 16 Pro Max and Airpods headphones worth about 35 million VND. After seizing the evidence, the working group drew up a record and handed over the subject to Phuoc My Ward Police for handling according to regulations.
Keeping the seas safe with a coordinated patrol model
In the context that Da Nang is entering the peak of the beach tourism season and continuously organizing major festival events, maintaining and promoting the effectiveness of the model of "Coordinating patrols to ensure security and order of beach tourism" is extremely necessary, contributing to building Da Nang into a safe, attractive and livable destination"...
With these achievements, last March, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches was honored to receive the decision of the Director of Da Nang City Police as a typical unit in the movement of All people protecting national security in 2024.
Lieutenant Colonel Dang Cong Vinh, Deputy Head of the Foreign Security Department of Da Nang City Police, commented that the expansion of the model of "Coordinated patrolling to ensure security and order for coastal tourism" by the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches has contributed to bringing peace of mind and satisfaction to people and tourists when coming to Da Nang. This is one of the typical models, making an important contribution to ensuring security and order on the coastal route.
After one year of implementing the model of "Coordinated patrolling to ensure security and order for marine tourism", the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches have contributed to bringing a peaceful image to Da Nang marine tourism, making a very important contribution to ensuring security and order on the sea route, promptly supporting people and tourists in arising situations.
Da Nang is entering the peak season of beach tourism and festival events. To ensure safety and order and prevent theft at Da Nang beaches, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches need to continue to effectively deploy the functions and tasks of the patrol team to ensure sea security and order. In particular, focusing on ensuring the safety of major sports and tourism events at Da Nang tourist beaches: Enjoy Da Nang 2025, DIFF 2025 - Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, ...
In addition, install 10 signs advising tourists to protect their property on the beach at central locations along the beach and arrange patrol teams to propagate and advise people and tourists not to leave their property on the beach when there is no one to look after it...
