Scene of military plane crash in Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province

According to initial information, the military plane crashed into Binh Minh block, Dien Nam Bac ward, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province during a training flight at 11:15 a.m. on January 9. Residents living in this area said that when the plane crashed, it collapsed part of a resident's house, and the two pilots were able to parachute out in time.

People gathered in large numbers at the plane crash site.

At the scene, the front and rear of the plane fell about 200 meters apart. Debris was scattered everywhere, plowing up a garden. A resident who was weeding a nearby vegetable field was hit by flying debris and suffered minor injuries. Authorities are cordoning off the scene.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ha, Vice Chairman of Dien Ban Town People's Committee, Quang Nam Province informed: "Dien Ban Town People's Committee has not received an official report on this incident. Military officers are on the scene to verify the incident and will have an official report as soon as possible. We have received information that the area where the plane crashed is on the border between Dien Nam Trung and Dien Nam Bac wards."
