According to South Korean news agency Yonhap , these individuals are suspected of being involved in Pyongyang's export of weapons and related goods, including five employees of a company accused of participating in nuclear and missile development and making money for the North Korean government .

Diplomat Choe Chol-min, who worked at the North Korean Embassy in China, was placed on the sanctions list because of South Korea's alleged role in the procurement of ballistic missile components and other dual-use items.

Four entities - including Tongbang Construction, Patisen SA, Kumrung Company and EMG Universal Auto - are suspected of being involved in North Korea sending people abroad to earn hard currency for the regime of President Kim Jong Un.

Under multiple UN Security Council sanctions resolutions, member states are banned from selling and transporting goods to and from North Korea that could be used to develop weapons.

On the same day, a South Korean military official said that North Korea's latest ICBM launch was the country's largest long-range missile launch to date, the latest sign of progress in Pyongyang's missile development efforts.

Earlier that day, North Korea announced the successful launch of the new generation Hwasong-19 ICBM on October 31. President Kim Jong Un affirmed that this was an irreversible step in the development of the country's nuclear weapons delivery vehicle.

According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), this test set important milestones, affirming the absolute power of the country's armed forces. The ICBM flew 7,687.5 km high and traveled 1,001.2 km in 5,156 seconds - the longest flight time of a North Korean missile.
