Comrade Pham Duc Nam, Chairman of Dong Van Commune People's Committee, said: From the days of the Commune Party Congress to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, everywhere in the commune was decorated with colorful flags and flowers. Units of the commune and people organized cleaning, beautifying the campus, roads, houses, etc. to bustlingly welcome the great national holiday. Walking around the streets and alleys in the early morning or late afternoon, there were also groups of dancers singing and dancing to revolutionary songs, making the atmosphere more joyful and exciting, and national pride spread everywhere.
In Minh Xuan ward, these days, the streets seem to be “putting on” a new coat. Around the main roads, the central area: Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, the 8-way intersection, Binh Thuan Street, Tan Quang Lake, Tan Trao Avenue, Quang Trung Street… are decorated with billboards, posters, propaganda about the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd with colorful flags and flowers. The alleys in residential areas are also solemnly and uniformly hung with national flags and Party flags by the people, not only showing the people’s compliance with regulations, but also expressing solidarity and national pride.
Sharing the joy of the nation
Although they cannot be present in Hanoi during the great holidays, these days, Tuyen Quang people always turn to the historic Ba Dinh Square - where the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2) took place - with patriotism, pride, self-respect, and the spirit of national solidarity. For the new Tuyen Quang province, after merging Ha Giang (old) and Tuyen Quang (old) provinces, the province has a larger space, a larger scale of development, and a vision and aspiration to be raised to new heights. The atmosphere of the national festival is therefore much more bustling, from urban areas, to the bustling construction atmosphere at the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project, or the joy of the farmers in the fruit-laden pear gardens in Hong Thai, Dong Van, Meo Vac, to the bustling singing in all the villages such as: the sound of Tinh lute, Then tunes of the Tay and Nung people; the sound of panpipes and flutes of the Mong people...

And also in the heroic historical atmosphere, the soldiers of the past joyfully welcomed the Independence Day with emotion and pride. Mr. Ma Cong To, Minh Quang commune, who participated in the Upper Laos campaign, could not hide his emotion and pride when mentioning the sacred historical milestone of the nation. He shared: “National Day September 2 is not only a historical event, but also a symbol of the indomitable spirit, indomitable will and deep patriotism of all Vietnamese people. The 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 are not only an anniversary, but also a sacred reminder of responsibility, gratitude and aspiration to build a strong Vietnam. I am proud to see Tuyen Quang developing every day, people living in prosperity and happiness. And what moves me most at this time is the intact spirit of patriotism in the hearts of every citizen, especially the young people. That is the most precious thing that needs to be preserved and passed on forever”.
A large number of tourists came to visit the thematic exhibition "From the Tan Trao National Congress to today's National Assembly" at the Tan Trao Special National Relic Site during the National Day celebrations. |
Each young person in Tuyen Quang has their own way of celebrating Independence Day, all of which are meaningful. Some choose to go to Hanoi to watch the parade, some choose to go to Lung Cu flagpole to sing the National Anthem, some choose to go to the cinema to enjoy films about revolutionary war to better understand and appreciate the value of peace. Young people also go to cafes and restaurants to take photos in the space glowing with the red national flag and post them on social networks to spread the message to everyone. As for Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyet, Ha Giang 2 ward, this holiday, she has many days off from work so she will spend more time with her family, and at the same time, she also takes time to watch the live broadcast of the parade from Hanoi.
Joy spreads
This year's National Day, September 2, is even more meaningful when Tuyen Quang people, along with people across the country, receive special gifts from the Government. With a gift value of 100,000 VND/person, this meaningful gift not only has material value but also represents sharing, caring, and solidarity. In Tuyen Quang, this meaningful gift is spreading joy, excitement, and deep pride in the community.
