Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city and communes and wards focused on propagating and affirming the historical, political , social significance and humanistic values of War Invalids and Martyrs Day; propagating the Party's directives and resolutions, the State's policies and laws on the work of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution; outstanding achievements in the work of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services in the whole country and in the capital Hanoi.

Along with that, we will honor war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs, and people with revolutionary contributions who have overcome difficulties and actively participated in patriotic emulation movements; discover and replicate advanced models in the "Repaying gratitude" movement, helping families with preferential policies overcome difficulties and improve their lives.
The unitseducate cadres, union members, association members and people about deep gratitude and the great sacrifices of heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution in the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland.
At the same time, units mobilized cadres, union members, union members and people to actively respond to support the "Repaying gratitude" Fund; organized visits and presented gifts to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, meritorious people, families with meritorious services, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and wives and children of wounded soldiers and martyrs in difficult circumstances.
In addition to annual maintenance activities, this year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city directed to carry out two simultaneous activities in July 2025.
The first activity is to clean and decorate the martyrs' cemetery and memorial house associated with the general environmental cleaning activity on the "Green Weekend" in July 2025 (from 7:00 a.m. on July 20 (Sunday) at martyrs' cemeteries and memorial houses in the city. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city requests to mobilize cadres, members, union members and people to participate; assign the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Anh commune as the host unit to organize the city-level pilot activity.
The second activity is to simultaneously organize a "Candle Lighting Ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs" (from 7:00 p.m. on July 26 (Saturday) at the Hanoi City Martyrs' Cemetery and martyrs' cemeteries, steles, monuments, martyrs' memorial houses... in 126 communes and wards.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city, the implementation of this plan aims to propagate and educate the meaning of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, revolutionary traditions, patriotism, national pride, dedication and sacrifice of heroic martyrs and those who have contributed to the country.
These practical activities aim to demonstrate the responsibility and sentiment of all levels, sectors, agencies, units and people of all walks of life towards the implementation of preferential policies for people with meritorious services, aiming to better care for the material and spiritual lives of people with meritorious services, ensuring social security policies in Hanoi.
