Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh has just signed Plan No. 158/KH-UBND on organizing a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
According to the plan, the commemorative activities will be carried out in many diverse forms, ensuring solemnity, economy, efficiency, practicality, focus and targeting the right subjects.
Hanoi will coordinate with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to organize a National Scientific Conference on the occasion of the anniversary. At the same time, coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to design a symbol and identity to serve the propaganda for this important event; organize an exhibition of the capital's socio -economic development achievements.
In addition, the city will coordinate with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and Vietnam Television to organize a live television program to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. The city will also coordinate to organize a contest to create propaganda posters to promote the event.
In addition, Hanoi will promoteeducational activities on revolutionary history at schools and historical sites in the area; organize gratitude activities such as visiting and giving gifts to people with meritorious services; and promote the image of the country, people of Vietnam and the capital Hanoi to students and international friends.
In particular, the city plans to organize fireworks displays at 5 locations: Hoan Kiem Lake, Thong Nhat Park, Van Quan Lake, My Dinh National Stadium and West Lake area with traditional fireworks combined with unique art.
Previously, Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh signed a decision to establish the Organizing Committee for the 80th anniversary celebration, parade, and march of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, September 2.
