On June 10, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Head of Steering Group No. 8 chaired a meeting on preparations for the Party Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Also attending were Party Central Committee member, Party Secretary, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung.

At the meeting, after listening to Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung report on the organization of the Party Congress of the Ministry and comments from members of Steering Group No. 8, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that the Government Party Committee has chosen the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the model congress, so the preparation work must be thorough, focusing on two major contents: One is preparing documents, two is giving comments on the documents of the Congress at higher levels.

Regarding the Political Report, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the report must be of high quality, closely following Directive No. 45-CT/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, comprehensively, objectively and honestly assessing the outstanding results of the past time, including institutional advisory work, building target programs on culture, and at the same time, there must be data and appendices to specifically demonstrate the limitations, shortcomings, causes and lessons learned, forecast the situation, determine the direction, the goals and targets set must be appropriate, feasible, and ensure effective implementation.

Regarding comments on superior documents, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism focus on giving profound and positive comments, especially on areas under the responsibility of ministries and branches.
