
According to Mr. Doan Tien Quyet, data analyst of VPI, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline is forecasted to increase by VND173 (0.9%) to VND19,433/liter, while RON 95-III gasoline may increase by VND217 (1.1%) to VND19,907/liter.
VPI's model predicts that retail oil prices will also increase this period, specifically diesel may increase by 1.8% to VND17,734/liter, kerosene may increase by 1.6% to VND17,556/liter, and fuel oil is forecast to increase by 1.3% to VND16,380/kg.
VPI also forecasts that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Gasoline and Oil Price Stabilization Fund this period.
On the world market on June 10, Brent oil price was 67.18 USD/barrel, up 0.21% compared to the previous day; WTI oil was around 64.58-64.98 USD/barrel.
World oil prices are showing signs of recovery. Brent crude oil prices rose 3.42% last month, but are still 17.99% lower than the same period last year. WTI crude oil has also shown a similar trend, rising 4.89% last month, but is still 17.22% lower than the same period last year.
Domestically, gasoline and oil prices were also adjusted up in the session on June 5, with E5RON92 gasoline increasing by 67 VND/liter to 19,263 VND/liter and RON95 gasoline increasing by 133 VND/liter to 19,698 VND/liter. Oil prices were also adjusted up from 86 VND/kg for fuel oil to 284 VND/liter for diesel oil.
