Google deploys Veo 3 in Vietnam, many people are not happy

(NLDO) - Videos created by Google's Veo 3 are very realistic but only suitable for entertainment and sharing on social networks.

Recently, Google has deployed Veo 3 to all countries where the Gemini application is operating, including Vietnam, through the Google AI Pro subscription package - priced at VND 489,000/month, with the first month free.

After subscribing to the package, users simply need to click on the "Tools" option on the Gemini command prompt bar, select " Video " and enter a description of the scene they want to recreate.

Gemini will then quickly create an 8-second video clip, 720p resolution, 16:9 landscape MP4 format, with vivid sound.

The deployment of Veo 3 in Vietnam is considered good news for many Vietnamese users, because previously they had to buy a shared account or use VPN to access. Now, users can register directly to help experience the service more stable and convenient.

However, besides the excitement of many people, many users expressed dissatisfaction with some limitations of Veo 3.

Veo 3 is now available in Vietnam but is limited to creating 10 videos per month.

Mr. Tran Minh Tuan (living in Ho Chi Minh City) commented that the biggest weakness of Veo 3 is that the video created is only 8 seconds long, which makes it impossible for him to fully convey the content as desired.

"Videos created by Veo 3 are very realistic but are only suitable for entertainment and sharing on social networks. To be used for advertising or product introduction, Veo 3 needs to allow creating videos at least 30 seconds long," said Mr. Tuan.

He said that while it is possible to create multiple videos to combine, it cannot provide the same smoothness and synchronization as a full-length video.

Ms. Pham Thi Lan Anh (living in Ho Chi Minh City) said that the limit of only being able to create 10 videos per month also reduces the user experience.

"Not all videos created by Veo 3 are completely up to par, so I can only use up all the videos allowed in one day. This makes me feel quite limited in using the service," said Ms. Lan Anh.

Veo 3 is Google's most advanced video-generating AI model, launched at the Google I/O 2025 event last May.

Before its official launch, Veo 3 created a buzz in Vietnam thanks to its ability to turn text or images into high-quality videos with dialogue, sound effects... matching the subject and context.
