During the 80-year development period (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2025), Vietnam News Agency (VNA) has always affirmed its position as a trusted strategic information center of the Party and State, steadfast in its goal of serving the Party, State and People, and being a prestigious news agency in the region and the world .
Carrying the message “Official news source, main news stream,” VNA’s booth at the 2025 National Press Festival with four main themes (“Glory - Pride - Continuation”; “Efficiency - Effectiveness - Efficiency”; “Accuracy - Responsiveness - Attractiveness”; “Connection - Spread - Reach”) focuses on introducing VNA’s outstanding achievements in the 80-year journey of construction and development, blending into the flow of 100 years of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism.
“Glory - Pride - Continuation” is a glorious tradition realized through outstanding and typical photographic works; films about the 80-year history of establishment and development of VNA, images of beloved Uncle Ho - the founder and great journalist of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism...
These are also lifetime photos of soldier journalists who were honored with the Ho Chi Minh Prize, the State Prize for Literature and Arts, along with photo works that won high prizes at photo contests and domestic and international press awards by today's generation of reporters.
At the Exhibition Booth, visitors will learn more about the organizational structure of VNA, access some innovative information products after the merger and restructuring of units in the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW on streamlining the apparatus, Resolution 57-NQ/TW on creating a breakthrough in innovation and creativity, continuing the pioneering mission, affirming the key role in Vietnam's revolutionary journalism and reaching international level.
“Connecting - Spreading - Reaching Far” will bring updated images of VNA on the path of integration and expanding cooperation with international news agencies and press organizations, so that VNA's information will increasingly spread, reach far, and affirm its position in the region and the world.
The display of publications includes special issues commemorating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, typical books of the News Agency Publishing House; prominent daily/weekly/monthly newspapers and bulletins of VNA such as: Express News, Special Reference Documents; semi-monthly Vietnam and World Economy ; News and Ethnicity Newspaper, Sports and Culture Newspaper, Vietnam News and Law Newspaper, Le Courrier du Vietnam Newspaper, Vietnam Pictorial Newspaper.
For those who study the history of journalism, they can find interesting things through the collection of artifacts used by VNA reporters during the resistance wars: TIPAS typewriter used by Deputy General Director Le Chan in Viet Bac; Hand-cranked telephone used by Vietnam News Agency to directly communicate and report important news to President Ho, the Politburo and the Central Secretariat (1950-1973); 15W-xD6 transceiver used by Liberation News Agency from its inception until the country's reunification (1960-1975); LEICA-M3 camera and Flash used by martyr journalist Bui Dinh Tuy (aka Dinh Thuy), Deputy Director of Liberation News Agency, during his time working in the Southern battlefield (1965-1967).
Carrying out strategic information tasks in the new situation, keeping up with the development trend of digital journalism, at the 2025 Press Festival, with the desire to bring interesting experiences to visitors, especially young people, VNA introduced a number of modern technology applications in journalism and media activities.
Visitors will have access to the first photo book about “100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism” published by the News Publishing House in a new way. On the touch screen, with just a few light “touches”, the public has access to hundreds of priceless photos, along with valuable documents published for the first time about a century of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism.
In particular, the public will have an interesting experience with the professional exchange program "AI is the tool, journalist is the heart," learning about AI in searching and analyzing information; Writing, editing and translating news with ChatGPT; producing a real press product with AI virtual assistant on mobile phones.
