On the evening of August 24 in Gia Lai , the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 national youth kickboxing championship.

The tournament is in response to the campaign " All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" , and at the same time celebrates the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
This year, the tournament gathered nearly 700 athletes and coaches from 39 delegations in 29 provinces, cities and sectors across the country. The fighters competed in lowkick and individual knockout competitions according to the rules of the Asian Kickboxing Federation (WAKO) with a format of 3 rounds, each round lasting 2 minutes.
The matches took place in 60 sets of medals in 3 age groups (13-14, 15-16, 17-18), including 32 male weight categories and 28 female weight categories. Gia Lai team participated with 60 athletes and 5 coaches, including 8 amateur martial artists, aiming for high results.
As planned, the 2025 national youth kickboxing championship will take place from August 22 to 31 at the Gia Lai provincial sports stadium.
The tournament brings together nearly 700 athletes and coaches from 39 delegations.

According to the organizers, the tournament not only creates a training and competition playground for young athletes but also an opportunity to discover and select the next generation for national and international tournaments. This is also an opportunity to promote the image, tourism potential and unique culture of Gia Lai to friends and visitors at home and abroad.
