According to records at bookstores, stationery stores, and school uniform stores in the province, the number of customers shopping in early July has increased significantly. Unlike previous years, which usually focus on August, this year, many parents have shifted to buying early and gradually to be more proactive in spending.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha (Vinh Hung Ward) shared: “I took the opportunity to buy school supplies and books for my children early, the bookstore was still empty so it was easy to choose. Buying each part in advance also reduces helps financial pressure rather than putting everything in one go.”

Regarding school uniforms, many businesses in Thanh Vinh and Vinh Phu wards said that the number of customers has also increased steadily since the beginning of the month. Schools this year have not changed much in terms of uniform designs, making shopping easier. The common selling price ranges from 150,000 - 250,000 VND/set depending on the design and size, with no increase compared to the previous school year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang - owner of a school uniform clothing business on Nguyen Trai Street (Vinh Phu Ward) said: "We still keep the old price to support parents. The designs have not changed much, there are some new styles such as polo shirts, plaid skirts, light jackets, suitable for extracurricular activities and weather".

It is worth highlighting that schools no longer require parents to buy school uniforms at designated locations. Parents can choose to have them tailored or buy them at reputable establishments, as long as they comply with regulations on design and color. This creates more flexibility and comfort during the shopping process.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (Thanh Vinh ward) said: “I ordered uniforms for my child based on the sample sent by the school. The fabric is cool and soft, making it comfortable for my child to wear. Because it takes time to get the clothes made, I ordered them early.”

Along with uniforms, textbooks are items that receive a lot of attention during the back-to-school season. According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training , in the context of the country merging provincial administrative units, the Ministry has directed schools to continue using the current curriculum and textbooks in the 2025-2026 school year.
