According to the Department of Construction of Gia Lai province, heavy rain from the night of June 10 to the morning of June 11 caused localized flooding in many areas, cutting off traffic on National Highway 25 through Phu Thien district. The most serious flooding point was at La Ploc bridge (Km 152+190), causing traffic to be completely disrupted.

Traffic is completely disrupted.

Specifically, prolonged rain and floods from upstream Phu Thien district caused the stream water over La Ploc bridge (Km 152+190, National Highway 25) to rise, submerging the temporary bridge serving traffic and causing complete congestion on the Phu Thien - Ayun Pa town route. Hundreds of vehicles had to stop at both ends of the bridge.

Immediately afterwards, authorities were on duty on both sides of the bridge, setting up barriers and asking people not to cross the flooded area to ensure safety and avoid unfortunate incidents.

Gia Lai Province Department of Construction informed: Currently, the La Ploc bridge has been under construction for 5 days. To ensure traffic, the Department of Construction has directed the urgent installation of large steel plates, and at the same time, guided and divided traffic for motorbikes. For heavy-duty vehicles, the Traffic Police force will support the division of traffic to other routes. Currently, the construction unit has prepared materials and concentrated machinery and equipment to fix the temporary bridge that was flooded after the water receded.

At the same time, in La Pa district, floodwaters also flooded deep into Bi Gia village (Po To commune), completely isolating more than 200 households in the village. Local authorities have sent forces to monitor the situation and advised people to absolutely not go through the overflow area until the water has receded.
