Currently, the purchase price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is around 49,000 - 51,000 VND/kg.

* On November 21, Vietnam Joint Stock Company adjusted the selling price of pigs in the Northern market to 54,000 VND/kg, an increase of 3,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday; in the South, it remained stable at 52,000 VND/kg. This is a signal that the price of live pigs may continue to increase in the coming time.

In the Chinese market, the price of live pigs was also adjusted up by VND 1,300/kg, to VND 50,600/kg.

Commenting on the price of live pigs in the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Kim Doan, Vice President of the Dong Nai Province Livestock Association, said that at the end of the year, social demand increases, so the price of pork may increase but not significantly.

The reason is that consumer demand this year will be less because people's income is not high. Along with that, market leading companies must also balance to ensure appropriate supply and demand, avoiding the phenomenon of high prices, consumers limiting spending or replacing with other foods.
