Coffee price today June 14, 2025: Slight increase again

Domestic coffee prices are showing signs of a slight recovery after many days of stagnation. However, the price trend has not yet been clearly established and is considered to be in the "orientation" phase, so it is necessary to closely monitor short-term fluctuations.

Experts recommend that farmers should be cautious in selling, prioritizing the distribution of goods in batches instead of dumping goods en masse, to avoid risks when prices may suddenly drop sharply.

For export enterprises, early price closing for third quarter delivery contracts is considered a reasonable risk hedging measure in the context of world prices showing no signs of stable recovery.

In the international market, robusta coffee prices have recovered slightly from a one-week low, supported by short-covering and concerns about tight supplies. According to data on June 12, robusta coffee inventories monitored by ICE fell to just 5,184 lots, the lowest in three weeks.

World coffee prices today

Coffee prices on the world market fell sharply on two exchanges:

Robusta Coffee (London):

Delivery in July 2025: Down 111 USD/ton, to 4,286 USD/ton.

Delivery September 2025: Down 136 USD/ton, to 4,178 USD/ton.

Arabica Coffee (New York):

July 2025 delivery: Down 3.9 cents/lb, to 343.9 cents/lb.

September 2025 delivery: Down 5.65 cents/lb, to 339.65 cents/lb.

In Brazil, producers in the Cerrado Mineiro region are experimenting with growing robusta varieties to adapt to climate change and environmental risks.

According to the latest report from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the country's coffee production in 2025 is estimated at 55.3 million bags (60 kg), up 0.5% compared to last month's forecast. This slight increase comes from the expansion of cultivated area (+1.3%) offsetting the decrease in productivity (-0.8%).

However, compared to the same period last year, Brazil's total coffee output is expected to decline by 3.1%, mainly due to a decline in arabica output. IBGE forecasts this year's arabica output at around 37.2 million bags, up 0.6% from its previous estimate but still 7% lower than 2024, due to the variety's "off year" cycle.

In contrast, robusta output this year is forecast to increase sharply, reaching 18.1 million bags, up 5.9% compared to last year, thanks to both increased yields and harvested area.
