With a total score of 28.25 (Math: 9, Literature: 9.25, Foreign Language: 10), Ly Hoang Ngan is one of the two candidates with the highest scores nationwide in the D04 exam group. This result is a worthy reward for the persistent efforts of the female language major student over the years.

Meeting Hoang Ngan at her home in Lao Cai ward, we were told by the witty little girl that she had just finished her part-time job at a Chinese language center - a job that helped her improve her communication skills and apply the language in real life.

In the small room, certificates, awards and medals are hung all over her study corner. Ngan emotionally shared: “I tried my best. After the exam, I compared the answers and found that my work was quite good, but I didn’t expect to be the top in the country in block D04.”

Although block D04 is not as popular as A00 or D01 (nationwide there are only more than 4,200 candidates taking the exam), getting high scores in all three subjects like Ngan is not easy.
The valedictorian modestly said: "I don't have any special secrets, I just try to study regularly, proactively ask teachers and friends when I don't understand, and regularly research and supplement my knowledge through many channels."
According to Ngan, the most important thing to study well is to have a review plan early, not to push yourself into the final stage. Keeping a relaxed spirit and viewing the exam as a journey to discover your own abilities helped you enter the exam room with a steady and calm mindset.

In response to her daughter's achievements, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nhung, Ly Hoang Ngan's mother, could not hide her emotions. She said: "The achievements mark her efforts, but also the companionship, guidance, education and guidance of her family and school. My family always creates all conditions for my child to study best."
Notably, before the graduation exam, Hoang Ngan won a full scholarship worth 1.3 billion VND from Xiamen University (Fujian, China) thanks to her many years of being a national excellent student and HSK 6 certificate.

On the same day she received her graduation results (July 16), she continued to receive good news when she was admitted to both Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Foreign Trade University. However, Ngan decided to pursue her dream of studying abroad and chose International Trade at Xiamen University - a place she believes will help her broaden her horizons and develop opportunities in the future.
The excellent "gate pass" and the results achieved during 12 years of study will be a solid foundation for Ly Hoang Ngan to continue to reap success in her academic path, conquering the heights of knowledge in the future.
