Vietnam tourism accelerates, aiming for growth target by 2025

On the morning of August 23, the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA) held a conference to meet with VITAs from provinces and cities. The conference aimed to disseminate the task of tourism growth in 2025 according to Resolution No. 226/NQ-CP of the Government.

Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Van Thi, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Vu The Binh, Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association; together with leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province, Tourism Associations of provinces and enterprises.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh emphasized that tourism is identified as a key economic sector that needs to change and grow stronger. He pointed out that Resolution No. 226/NQ-CP has assigned specific tasks to the industry to strive to welcome 25 million international visitors and 150 million domestic visitors in 2025.

According to Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh, in response to this requirement, the tourism industry must quickly gather forces, develop plans and implement them vigorously. Localities need to transform goals into specific action programs.

In his welcoming speech, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thi affirmed that strengthening the role of the Vietnam Association of Tourism and the network of tourism in localities is an important task. This aims to strengthen regional connectivity and public-private cooperation. On the side of Thanh Hoa province, he pledged to accompany the Vietnam Association of Tourism and localities to concretize Resolution 226/NQ-CP.

At the conference, delegates proposed many solutions. In particular, focusing on promoting and promoting tourism associated with developing high-quality products. Delegates also emphasized improving the experience for tourists, strengthening service price management and combining tourism with consumption of OCOP products and local specialties.

With a common determination, the entire tourism industry strives to effectively implement the set goals. Thereby contributing to ensuring the national growth target of 8% or more in 2025 as stated in Resolution 226/NQ-CP.
