The event was attended by Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and representatives of the Ministry of National Defense , Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a particularly important political event of national scale. The event is organized by the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the National Assembly, the President, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Hanoi City.
The national celebration, parade and march program will take place at 6:30 a.m. on September 2, 2025 at Ba Dinh Square, broadcast live on Vietnam Television, local stations and social media platforms.
Six forces participated in the parade
At the press conference, Major General Tong Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, said that there were 6 forces participating in the parade, including: Traditional torch bearer force and fire guard; Artillery force; Air force flying salute; Parade and marching force with 4 Honor Guards, 43 units representing the people's armed forces, foreign military units (Russia, Laos, Cambodia participated in joint training on the evening of August 21, China will send forces at the end of August), military vehicles, artillery, special police vehicles, sea parade force, 12 mass parade units and 1 cultural and sports unit; Background force: ceremonial guard and 29 standing units; Formation and letter formation force.
"Up to now, the forces have undergone four training sessions and five joint exercises. The spirit and determination of the forces are very high, their health and equipment are fully equipped, and they are ready to carry out their tasks during the country's great celebration," said Major General Tong Van Thanh.
For the first time, there was a parade of overseas Vietnamese.
According to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, on this occasion, 50 outstanding overseas Vietnamese from 18 countries and territories returned to the country to practice for the parade on the morning of September 2. This is the first time in 80 years that overseas Vietnamese have participated in a national parade.

"Overseas Vietnamese have contributed materially, spiritually, and even blood to the cause of national liberation and protection of the Fatherland over the past 80 years. Despite the change in time zones and weather, they all share that they forget all their fatigue and consider this an honor, pride, and responsibility," said Ms. Hang.
According to Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, so far, 6 high-ranking delegations from Cuba, Cambodia, Laos, Belarus, Russia and China have confirmed their attendance at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. In addition, more than 20 delegations representing political parties from various countries, 8 defense delegations and many international reporters will also attend.
On this occasion, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations invited nearly 100 international friends who have supported Vietnam over the past 80 years to attend the ceremony. "This is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude to international friends who have contributed to the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland," Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized.
