Speaking at the meeting, comrade Tran Quang Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group emphasized: With its affection and responsibility, the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group, formerly the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group ( Petrovietnam ), has participated in many activities to support educational work in Lai Chau province; participated in the construction of the Martyrs Memorial House in Dao San area... many projects of a certain restoration and construction nature.
Implementing the Politburo 's policy on investing in building schools for border communes, the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group, as a bridge to carry out the tasks of the Party and the State, has coordinated with sponsoring units to support the Phong Tho Primary and Secondary Boarding School Investment Project with a total cost of nearly 200 billion VND, of which the Group alone has contributed nearly 100 billion VND. This is the project with the Group's largest support for Lai Chau province to date. Therefore, he hopes that the Project will be implemented consistently from the very first steps, with close coordination between the Group and Lai Chau province so that the project will soon be put into use, and students will have a new school to study and develop.
At the meeting, representatives of the members of the Working Group discussed in detail the progress of the Project implementation steps and the drafting of the funding agreement, the general process for payment, disbursement, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations on basic construction investment...
After listening to the opinions of the members of the Working Group, representatives of the leaders of the departments and branches of Lai Chau province also discussed, clarified and agreed on the implementation steps in each phase with the goal of reducing the procedural time to ensure the most effective implementation of the Project.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee Le Van Luong thanked the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group for their support and responsibility in a very short time for the investment project to build Phong Tho Primary and Secondary Boarding School.
He emphasized that with the attention of the Party, the State and the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group to the cause of education in border areas, the People's Committee of Lai Chau province has directed the competent agencies to determine the location and area for investment in construction of the project and implement the contents for the groundbreaking ceremony as planned. The project to build Phong Tho Primary and Secondary Boarding School is a modern educational facility, with a scale of 5 hectares (construction area of 15,000 m²) and serving 1,000 boarding students.
In the coming time, Lai Chau province will direct functional units to implement the construction of the project to complete it according to plan; build the project to meet national standards; implement it publicly and transparently according to regulations; give maximum priority to site clearance and create all favorable conditions for the implementation process.
