Diem Thuy - A bright spot attracting investment

From July 2025, Diem Thuy commune was established on the basis of merging the entire area and population of 4 communes: Ha Chau, Nga My, Diem Thuy and part of Thuong Dinh commune. After the merger, Diem Thuy became one of the largest communes in the province, with an area of over 42km2 and a population of about 41,800 people; identified as a key industrial, service and urban development center in the South of the province.

Diem Thuy Industrial Park has synchronous infrastructure and is an attractive destination for investors.

As a citizen of Diem Thuy commune, Mr. Duong Van Hao expressed: Diem Thuy is a new commune, with many industrial parks and clusters that are developing and expanding. I hope that investment and expansion policies as well as the process of selecting investors in the area will be implemented quickly, contributing to promoting socio -economic development, creating jobs for workers in the commune and neighboring areas. That also helps avoid wasting existing land funds.

After the merger, the economic "picture" of Diem Thuy commune gradually appeared in bright colors. The locality has a very favorable geographical location and traffic infrastructure system such as: National Highway 37 (length 5.4km), Ring Road V (length 4.8km), Provincial Roads 266, 261 (length 7.8km) and more than 56km of inter-commune and inter-hamlet roads have been upgraded and expanded.

Industrial zones and clusters in the area such as Yen Binh 2 Industrial Park, Yen Binh 3 Industrial Park, Diem Thuy Industrial Park... have attracted many domestic and foreign investors. Industrial development not only creates jobs for local workers but also creates demand for housing, services, and commerce, contributing to changing the rural labor structure.

Along with that, a series of urban areas and resettlement areas are planned synchronously, promising to change the local appearance in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Dai, Vice Chairman of Diem Thuy Commune People's Committee, said: Diem Thuy aims to become a commune-level administrative unit with comprehensive development in industry and handicrafts by 2030 and become an industrial center of Thai Nguyen province. Therefore, from the very first days of implementing the two-level government model, the commune has focused on implementing three key breakthroughs: attracting investment; promoting compensation, site clearance and reforming administrative procedures.

With synchronous planning, consensus of the people and high determination of the entire political system, Diem Thuy is gradually clearing bottlenecks, firmly on the development path, worthy of being a key industrial commune in the southern region of Thai Nguyen province.

In Diem Thuy commune, there are currently 6 industrial parks with a total area of over 771 hectares, 3 industrial clusters with an area of over 137 hectares and 23 residential areas, urban areas, and resettlement areas planned with a total area of nearly 335 hectares; 19 planning projects have been approved with a total area of over 284 hectares, of which 4 areas are being planned with an area of over 50 hectares. Along with that, 9 residential area, urban area, and resettlement area projects have been and are being implemented with a total area of over 67 hectares.
