The City Fatherland Front Committee established advisory councils in various fields to help the Fatherland Front effectively resolve issues in social life.

Enhance the role and position of the Front

The arrangement and consolidation of the 2-level Fatherland Front apparatus has been completed and put into smooth operation. The general direction is to arrange and streamline in a substantial manner, ensuring that the Standing Committee of the City Fatherland Front Committee plays a leading role, comprehensively directing both the organization of cadres, orientation of activities, assets, finance and is responsible to the City Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for all activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the city's mass organizations.

Accordingly, all departments and advisory units of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations of the city will be arranged to be directly under the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city to advise according to the following orientation: Transfer tasks of a general and similar nature to the advisory departments of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city; tasks of a specific professional nature according to the subject will be directly performed by the advisory departments of socio-political organizations.

After the reorganization, 2 public service units: Labor Culture House and Youth Center and 3 types of funds: Farmers Support Fund, Women Support Fund, Trade Union Capital Support Fund were transferred to the City Fatherland Front Committee. The Farmers Support Center, Women Development and Start-up Support Center, Youth Employment Service Center were transferred to the City People's Committee and relevant functional agencies for management.

Currently, Hue City has 17 mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city will coordinate with the City People's Committee, the Department of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to review and arrange 17 mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State to reduce the number of focal points, suitable on the basis of merging organizations with similar functions, tasks, nature and mobilization objects.

Strong focus on the base

Member of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the City Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Ai Van affirmed: When coming into operation, the City Fatherland Front will strongly focus on grassroots activities, increase resources and human resources for grassroots activities, residential areas, and closely connect with union members, association members and the people; overcome "administrative" activities; streamline the organizational apparatus. At the same time, improve the ability to gather and mobilize people from all walks of life in society, through closely following the practical situation in residential areas; improve the quality of activities of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, mass organizations assigned by the Party and State at the city and commune levels, and the Front's working committee, branches of mass organizations...

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels continue to innovate the content and methods of operation towards being close to the people, close to the grassroots, truly being the center of solidarity, the bridge between the Party, the government and the people. Proactively grasp the situation of public opinion, the thoughts and aspirations of cadres, party members and the people; promptly advise the Party committees and authorities in resolving issues arising right at the grassroots. Ensure material facilities, especially conditions to ensure the application of information technology, smooth operation of the information system for the operation of Party agencies. At the same time, effectively coordinate with the Party committees and authorities at the same level to build a solid national solidarity bloc, towards the common goal of sustainable development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.

The City Fatherland Front Committee currently has 87 members; the Standing Committee has 9 members, including the Chairman and 8 Vice Chairmen. 9 departments and offices: Office; Organization and Inspection Committee; Democracy, Supervision and Social Criticism Committee; Propaganda and Social Work Committee; Trade Union Work Committee; Farmers' Work Committee; Youth and Children's Work Committee; Women's Work Committee; Veterans' Work Committee. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of 40 communes and wards has 4,906 members; each commune and ward has an average of 122 members; the Standing Committee has 197 members (each commune has an average of 5 members).
