Continue to innovate mass mobilization work, activities of the Front and mass organizations

(GLO)- Contributing to the draft Political Report of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Executive Committee to be submitted to the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, Mr. Tran Duy Duc (a retired cadre in Binh Dinh ward) suggested that it is necessary to continue to innovate mass mobilization work, activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations in the new situation.

Mr. Tran Duy Duc was formerly Chief of Office of An Nhon District Party Committee, Chief of Office of People's Council and People's Committee of An Nhon District (old).

In the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, mass mobilization work always plays an important role in consolidating people's trust in the Party and government; promoting the strength of great national unity.

In recent years, the mass mobilization work of the Gia Lai province political system has achieved many positive results. Party committees and authorities at all levels have paid attention to grasping the people's thoughts and aspirations; many models of "skillful mass mobilization" associated with socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and protecting the environment have been effectively implemented.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations have gradually innovated the content and methods of their activities towards being closer to the grassroots, especially in mobilizing ethnic minorities to implement the Party and State's policies and guidelines.

However, in reality, there are still limitations: In some places, mass mobilization work is still formal and not really close to the grassroots; the role of supervision and social criticism has not been fully promoted; gathering union members, especially young people, workers and farmers, is still difficult.

After the province's merger, Gia Lai has the second largest natural area in the country, located in a strategic position in the Central Highlands and Central Coast. This poses especially important requirements, but also many difficulties and challenges for mass mobilization work, activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations. Therefore, innovation in the content and methods of mass mobilization is an urgent requirement to improve efficiency and meet the tasks in the new situation.

To innovate mass mobilization work, in my opinion, we must first raise the awareness and responsibility of cadres and party members. Mass mobilization is not only the task of the Front or mass organizations, but also the common responsibility of the entire political system.

Cadres and party members must be exemplary, close to the people, understand the people, respect the people, listen to and promptly resolve the people's legitimate aspirations. Training in mass mobilization skills and grassroots style must be focused on, especially for cadres in remote areas and ethnic minority areas.

For the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations, it is necessary to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction, avoiding formalities, focusing on the grassroots, closely following the lives and practical needs of the people to build appropriate movements.

For example, for farmers, it is necessary to promote the movement of good production and business associated with the transformation of crop structure and application of science and technology. For young people, organize many start-up and innovation activities, create vocational training and employment opportunities.

For women, focus on supporting loans, starting small businesses, and replicating models of building happy families and preventing domestic violence.

Another important task is to promote the role of supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations. There needs to be a mechanism for people to participate in giving opinions to build the Party and government; and to reflect on the quality of officials and civil servants. Regularly maintain the forums "People's opinions" and "Government dialogue with the people" to increase social cohesion and consensus.

In the context of digital transformation and integration, mass mobilization work also needs to strongly apply information technology and social networks to propagate and mobilize people, help spread policies and guidelines, and at the same time orient public opinion and fight against false arguments.

In addition, the province needs to pay attention to building a core force among ethnic minorities and prestigious people in the community. This is an important bridge between the Party, the government and the people, contributing to mobilizing people to comply with the law, actively participate in economic development and protect security and order.

In particular, it is necessary to increase closeness to the people and the grassroots by organizing many trips of cadres to villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods to grasp the situation, promptly resolve people's petitions; maintain direct dialogue between Party committees, authorities and the people.

At the same time, integrate mass mobilization work with emulation movements, economic development, sustainable poverty reduction; organize "smart mass mobilization" models associated with new rural construction, environmental protection, and maintaining security and order.

Innovation in mass mobilization work and activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations is an objective and urgent requirement. This is not only an innovation in content and methods but also an innovation in thinking, style and responsibility of the entire political system.

When people believe and support, all policies and guidelines of the Party will be implemented. That is the solid foundation for Gia Lai to develop sustainably in the new term after unification, firmly entering the period of integration and development of the country.
