"We are heartbroken to see signs that the enthusiasm for helping may be fading," First Lady Zelenska added.
Ms Zelenska spoke a day after US Republican senators blocked a bill to provide more than $60 billion in aid to Ukraine.
The White House has warned that the money the US can allocate to Ukraine could soon run out, but the country's Republicans have resisted because they want President Joe Biden's Democrats to compromise on the issue of tightening border security.
On December 8, US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby warned that failing to support Ukraine would cause serious damage to US economic and security interests.
“If you think the cost of supporting Ukraine is too high now, just think how high that cost would be in dollars and American lives if we had to start acting on our Article 5 commitments,” Kirby said.
Article 5 of NATO requires member countries to have an obligation to defend other members if the opponent is attacked by an armed force.
