Khanh Hoa Mr. Pham Ngoc Hung, 60 years old, Deputy Head of the Arts Department of a television station fell from the Nha Trang Sea Festival stage about 8 meters high, died on the afternoon of May 29.
At around 3:00 p.m., Mr. Hung went up to the grandstand area, opposite the stage being assembled for the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival program, to survey the camera locations for the television station.
At a height of about 8 meters, he fell to the road, seriously injured. The victim was taken by people around to Khanh Hoa General Hospital (about 1.5 km from the scene) in a state of multiple injuries, respiratory arrest and died at about 20:00 the same day.

Chief of Office of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha said that the locality has directed the construction unit to review and ensure safety during the construction process and related issues. The cause of the accident is being investigated by the police.
Mr. Khoa Nguyen, General Director of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023, said that this incident did not affect the progress of the program. Everything is still going according to plan.
Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival took place for the first time in 2003, is a national and international cultural - tourism event held every two years. In 2023, the festival will be held for the 10th time, with a scale that is considered grand, topical, colorful, and reflects the development trend of the province.
In recent days, hundreds of workers and directors have been present at the grandstand and stage area of Nha Trang Sea Festival 2023 (April 2 Square, Nha Trang City) to construct and install the stage in preparation for the opening night on the evening of June 3.
