On April 17, Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee issued Conclusion No. 954-KL/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the plan to arrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units in Dak Nong province.
Accordingly, Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee basically agrees with the policy on the plan to rearrange and reorganize commune-level administrative units.
After the rearrangement, Dak Nong province has reduced from 71 communes to 28 communes, a 60.57% reduction compared to the current number of communes, wards and towns.
For Gia Nghia City, the plan will establish 3 new wards, based on merging the current communes and wards of Gia Nghia City and Dak Ha commune of Dak Glong district.
In addition to reorganizing administrative units at the commune and ward levels, names for new wards are also proposed.
In addition to the names Gia Nghia Ward 1, Gia Nghia Ward 2, Gia Nghia Ward 3, there are also proposals for Dong Gia Nghia Ward, Nam Gia Nghia Ward and Bac Gia Nghia Ward.
Gia Nghia is a city under Dak Nong province. Its natural area is over 284 km2. Currently, Gia Nghia city has 8 commune-level administrative units.
