Dak Lak sets GRDP growth target of over 11.5%, determined to become a new growth pole

On the morning of August 14, the 1st Congress of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, term 2025-2030, opened. The Congress set ambitious goals, determined to turn Dak Lak into a new growth pole of the Central Highlands region.

The event was attended by comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, and 300 delegates representing more than 9,530 party members in the entire Party Committee.

In the 2020-2025 term, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee has led and directed according to the motto "clear people, clear work, clear results". This has created clear changes in all areas. The average GRDP growth rate reached 6.24%/year. Export turnover increased by an average of 11.2%/year. The processing, manufacturing and renewable energy industries have become bright spots of the economy .

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Ta Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, said that the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Party Committee was established on July 1, 2025 on the basis of merging the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee Party Committee (old) and the Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee Party Committee. Immediately after its establishment, the Party Committee quickly completed its organization, stabilized its operations and maintained its role as the political core.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee set a target of average GRDP growth of 11.5%/year or more. The target per capita income by 2030 is 160 million VND/year. The total export value of the whole period is expected to reach over 13 billion USD. The tourism industry is set to attract 43 million visitors, bringing in revenue of about 97,150 billion VND. The province also focuses on reducing the poverty rate by an average of 2%/year, especially in ethnic minority areas by 3%/year.

To realize the goals, the development focus will be on the “four pillars”. These pillars include industry, high-tech agriculture, tourism and marine economy. At the same time, the province will strongly improve the investment environment, promote science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

In his speech, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that the Congress laid the foundation for a new stage of development. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung stated: "The Provincial Party Committee needs to seriously implement the policies of the Central Committee and closely follow the targets, tasks and solutions according to the Resolution of the Provincial Party Committee."

The Provincial Party Secretary requested to ensure the growth target of 8% or more in 2025, creating momentum for double-digit growth in the next term. He also directed to step up investment promotion, drastically disburse public investment capital, especially key projects to create resources to promote socio-economic development.

With the motto "Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Breakthrough-Development", the Congress expressed its determination to build Dak Lak province to be rich, beautiful, civilized and have its own identity.
