Rehabilitation program training, screening for high-risk children

On the morning of August 28, Khanh Hoa Provincial Hospital of Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation coordinated with Khanh Vinh Regional Medical Center to organize training on community-based rehabilitation programs and screening for high-risk children.

At the program, more than 100 disabled people and their families, medical staff of Khanh Vinh Regional Health Station were updated with basic knowledge on how to recognize, care for and practice rehabilitation at home for disabled people. After the training, medical staff of the Provincial Hospital of Traditional Medicine - Rehabilitation organized examinations, assessments, guided rehabilitation exercises, and provided intervention orientation for disabled people participating in the program. For people with severe disabilities and difficulty moving, the program organized examinations and guided care at home.

This activity is part of the Health sector's plan to implement the rehabilitation system development program in the province in 2025, aiming to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and the community on community-based rehabilitation; screening, detecting and early intervention for disabilities in infants up to 6 years old... Thereby helping people with disabilities to proactively intervene in rehabilitation at home, receive proper medical care, contributing to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities, and effectively implementing social security policies in the area.
