On the evening of August 27, in Yangon, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Diplomatic Service (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025), the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar held a reception and film screening.
In his opening speech at the screening of the film Buffalo Wool Season with the Diplomatic Corps and friends of Myanmar at Junction City Cinema, Ambassador Ly Quoc Tuan reviewed the proud history of the Diplomatic sector over the past 80 years, contributing to the cause of fighting for independence and building the country.
The Party, State and people of Vietnam always thank countries, international organizations and people around the world for their support and assistance in the struggle for national liberation and national construction over the past 80 years.
During the 94 minutes of watching the film, the Diplomatic Corps and Myanmar friends experienced the real story of herding buffaloes during the flood season, reflecting the life, love and feelings of the people of South Vietnam in the first decades of the 20th century.
Through the film, the audience also sees the desire for freedom, independence and the fight for freedom and independence of the Vietnamese people.
More than 30 Ambassadors, Chargés d'Affaires, diplomatic friends from 23 countries and international organizations, along with 150 guests from Myanmar, attended the reception and film screening.
