Attending were Ambassadors and Chargés d'Affaires from the UK, Switzerland, Norway and EU member countries in Hanoi .
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang invited the Ambassadors and Chargé d'Affaires to enjoy tea and some Vietnamese specialties such as green bean cakes, moon cakes, peanut candy, etc.; and to listen to an introduction to the tea culture imbued with Vietnamese national identity and the hospitality of the Vietnamese people.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized Vietnam's tradition of independent, self-reliant, multilateral and diversified foreign relations; affirmed the importance of the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and European countries.
Thanking the Ambassadors and Chargé d'Affaires for attending the 80th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Vietnamese Diplomatic Service, the Deputy Minister affirmed that 80 years are not just numbers, but many lives of dedication, the mark of thousands of diplomatic officers to uphold national interests for the image and prestige of Vietnam; at the same time, he expressed gratitude to international friends and partners who have always accompanied the Vietnamese diplomatic service to have a proactive, humane, affectionate and responsible diplomacy.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized that 2025 is the year to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 - a great holiday for the entire Vietnamese people, an occasion to commemorate the contributions of previous generations in building and defending the country and to express deep gratitude to international friends who have accompanied Vietnam on its journey of struggle and development over the past 80 years.
2025 is also the year that Vietnam organizes many activities to celebrate the anniversary of the year with many large and important partners, including the signing of the Framework Cooperation Agreement with the EU; marking a meaningful 35-year milestone in the journey of cultivating diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the EU.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang affirmed that Vietnam wishes to increase cooperation and exchange activities with Europe to bring the relationship between the two sides increasingly deeper, more substantive, and more effective, contributing positively to peace, security, and development in the world .
On this occasion, international friends also sent congratulations to the Vietnamese people on the 80th anniversary of National Day, praising the heroic history of the indomitable and resilient Vietnamese people; congratulating the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on successfully organizing the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese Diplomatic Service in a solemn and cozy manner.
At the same time, the European Ambassadors and Chargés d'Affaires expressed their delight in enjoying Vietnamese tea and shared that Vietnamese tea is not only a part of culinary culture but also carries a message of happiness, peace, cooperation and connection between countries, common development, sustainability and prosperity.
