Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment reported that storm No. 5 and wind and rain caused by the storm's circulation caused 1.6 million customers to lose power.
According to EVN, by the end of August 26, power units had restored power supply to about 70% of customers affected by storm No. 5 (Kajiki), equivalent to 1.6 million out of a total of 2.3 million customers in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
According to EVN, all remaining customers will have power restored before the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2.
The updated report at 8:00 a.m. on August 27 from EVN also said that EVN's hydropower plants still ensure construction safety. At 7:00 a.m. on the same day, there were 14 hydropower reservoirs discharging water according to the process, including: Ban Chat, Huoi Quang, Lai Chau , Trung Son, Ban Ve, Quang Tri, Song Bung 2, Song Ba Ha, Se San 3, Se San 3A, Se San 4, Pleikrong, Ialy and Buon Kuop.
Regarding the operation of the high-voltage grid, the storm caused 3 incidents on the 500kV line, 4 incidents on the 220kV line in Nghe An and Ha Tinh, and 14 incidents on the 110kV line in the directly affected areas. By the evening of August 26, all these incidents had been resolved, ensuring normal grid operation.

EVN also said that more than 500 workers, engineers, and many vehicles and equipment have been mobilized from units under the Northern Power Corporation and support forces from the Central Power Corporation to speed up the restoration process and soon restore stable power supply to people and businesses.
