In the area in front of My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi), 15 105mm ceremonial guns of the Artillery - Missile Command also performed the content of the preliminary review program.

The preliminary program had more than 40,000 participants. Of which, the parade force consisted of 4 honor guard units; 43 units representing the people's armed forces; foreign military units: Russia, Laos, Cambodia...; military vehicles, artillery , special police vehicles; 12 mass parade units; 1 cultural - sports unit. The standing force consisted of the honor guard and 29 standing units; 11 mass units.
