After the incident of former students "embezzling" money to support the people of the North, Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade quickly reported on the incident.

According to the report, the Reserve Officers Club of the Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade was dissolved in January 2024 after a period of ineffective operation. At the time of dissolution, the club's fund was VND 11,232,000. The Executive Board agreed to hand it over to HT alumni (members of the Executive Board) for management.

A former student who "stolen" 90% of the support money for the people of Central Vietnam was "checked var".

After receiving information that storm No. 3 caused heavy damage to people and property in some northern provinces, the club's board of directors proposed transferring all of the above fund to the Vietnam Fatherland Front account to support the people.

On September 9, HT transferred 1,123,200 VND in support (instead of transferring the entire remaining fund of the Club). At the same time, HT used Photoshop to edit it to 11,232,000 VND to report to the Club.

HT's actions were exposed shortly after the Vietnam Fatherland Front made public more than 12,000 pages of statements. When "var checked", HT transferred all the remaining money of the club to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

HT has remedied the consequences by transferring money back twice to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

On the afternoon of September 14, representatives of the Board of Directors, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union and the Student Association of the School invited members of the Executive Committee of the Association's Cadres and HT alumni to clarify the incident.

HT admitted his mistake, due to his immature thinking, which affected the school. HT apologized to everyone, especially the people in the North who are suffering the severe consequences of Typhoon Yagi .

Sharing with reporters on the afternoon of September 15, a lecturer at the Ho Chi Minh City College of Industry and Trade felt very sad when a former student of the school took action for personal gain. The Vietnam Fatherland Front's release of the statement has helped many "canvas" cases to be brought to light.
