According to India Today, Mr. Abhiman Girdhar Tayade, 64 years old in Maharashtra state, had diabetes along with jaundice and other health complications. He fell unconscious at home on June 12.
Abhiman Girdhar Tayade's son quickly took him to Shivneri Private Hospital, where Dr Prabhu Ahuja examined the patient and said "no pulse found".

The doctor advised the family to move him to a hospital equipped with a ventilator, but later said Tayade had died. A death certificate was issued at the family's request.
However, as the family began the last rites for his funeral, they noticed movement in his chest and a heartbeat. Tayade was immediately rushed to another private hospital in Ulhasnagar, where doctors began emergency treatment.
Within 30 minutes, Mr Tayade regained consciousness. The family later criticised the doctors at Shivneri Hospital for the wrong diagnosis.
Dr Ahuja admitted the error, saying the noise of road construction going on outside at the time may have affected his assessment of the patient's condition.
Authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.
