Receiving the National Assembly 's Resolution on the establishment of An Giang province
Specifically, the National Assembly issued Resolution 202/2025/QH15, dated June 12, 2025, to arrange the entire natural area and population of Kien Giang and An Giang provinces into a new province called An Giang province. After the arrangement, An Giang province has a natural area of more than 9,888 km 2 and a population of nearly 5 million people. An Giang province borders Ca Mau province, Dong Thap province, Can Tho city, the Kingdom of Cambodia and the East Sea.

Appointed the An Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, consisting of 67 comrades (12 comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee). Appointed comrade Nguyen Tien Hai, member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee (new). An Giang Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee for the 2020-2025 term launched
The Secretariat appointed the Inspection Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term after the merger, consisting of 13 comrades. Comrade Vo Minh Hoang (Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the old An Giang Provincial Party Committee) holds the position of Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee (new).
