Thanh Hoa and Nghe An police brave the rain to rescue people in flooded areas

In recent days, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An have been severely affected by the circulation of storm No. 3, with heavy rains and floods threatening people's lives and property. Police officers have worked through the night to reinforce the dikes, rescue and support people in flooded areas to safety.

At around 0:00 on July 24, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) - PC08 - Thanh Hoa Provincial Police received information that Dan Quyen commune (old) now Trieu Son commune was at risk of dike failure. The unit mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene to coordinate with local people and authorities to reinforce the dike.

After a period of urgent deployment, police officers completed the reinforcement of the embankment of a vulnerable dike section, initially successfully preventing floodwaters from overflowing the dike surface, threatening the lives and property of people inside the dike.

In Nghe An, on the afternoon of July 23, officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Nghe An Province participated in preventing and fighting floods and the effects caused by storm No. 3 in Con Cuong commune and some areas on National Highway 7.

Previously, on the night of July 22, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department - Nghe An Provincial Police received a report that 11 households in Ma Nhai hamlet, block 4, Con Cuong commune were being isolated by floodwaters, posing a threat to life and property.

The unit quickly mobilized forces, vehicles, and specialized equipment to coordinate with Con Cuong Commune Police and local authorities to urgently deploy a rescue plan. The rescue force crossed deep water, taking each person and property out of the dangerous area to safety.

Faced with the complicated developments of floods, on the morning of July 24, the Air Defense - Air Force Service, Ministry of National Defense mobilized 3 helicopters to take off from Vinh International Airport, Nghe An with officers and soldiers of Military Region 4, carrying essential supplies to flood-affected localities in Western Nghe An.
