Hai Binh Ward Police coordinated with Border forces to propagate, mobilize and support people to respond to storm No. 5 at Lach Bang Fishing Port.

On August 23 and 24, the leaders of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police directed local departments, offices and units to deploy forces and be on standby to help people prevent and fight against storm No. 5. Although it was the weekend, police from various units and localities went to residential areas to provide guidance, work with people to reinforce their houses, and arrange for boats to anchor safely. They were determined not to let any people stay on boats when the storm hit.

Traffic police are assigned to coordinate with police in wards and communes to deploy checkpoints and control at culverts, overflows, flooded roads, ferries, and direct traffic to ensure safety for people and vehicles.

Mobile police, public order police and 113 police were mobilized to vulnerable areas, river mouths and sea mouths to participate in evacuating people from dangerous areas, areas at risk of landslides, flash floods and flash floods to safe places.

Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have also prepared rescue vehicles, boats, canoes, rescue vehicles, logistics supplies, and necessities to participate in rescue when requested by the Provincial Police leaders and local authorities.

In Hai Binh Ward, the Ward Police coordinated with Hai Binh Border Guard Station to directly go to Lach Bang Fishing Port to propagate, mobilize and support people to proactively respond to the storm. The authorities reminded fishermen to urgently bring their boats to safe shelters and absolutely not go out to sea during the storm.

To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, Hai Binh Ward Police called on people to reinforce houses and structures, trim trees to prevent strong winds; stock up on food, drinking water, medicine, flashlights and other essential items; help the elderly, children and disadvantaged households. At the same time, arrange forces to be on duty 24/7 and ready to support people in any emergency situation.

Currently, 100% of Thanh Hoa fishing boats operating at sea have returned to safe shelters.

The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Provincial Police Department has proactively deployed response measures to minimize human and property damage. The unit has arranged forces, vehicles and specialized equipment ready to support people. Professional teams have been assigned to closely monitor the area, especially vulnerable areas such as riverside, coastal areas and places where flooding and landslides frequently occur. Officers and soldiers have actively checked dangerous areas to warn, and at the same time propagate and mobilize people to proactively take preventive measures.

In addition, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department has also developed detailed plans and prepared adequate equipment such as fire trucks, rescue vehicles, motorboats, life jackets, etc. to serve the search, rescue and recovery work. The entire unit strictly maintains a 24/7 on-duty regime according to the motto "4 on-site" and the principle of "3 ready", ready to handle all emergency situations, ensuring the highest safety for the people.

To support and help local people in preventing and fighting storm No. 5 in a practical and effective manner, all comrades in the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Department directly went to the localities to direct the storm prevention and fighting work. The Director of Thanh Hoa Police Department directed the police of local departments, offices and units to coordinate with local authorities to prepare sufficient forces and means, ready to respond to incidents; ensure reserves of food, foodstuffs and necessities in areas at risk of isolation to be ready to support people when requested. Police of all units strictly implement the regime of quick reporting and periodic reporting to the Provincial Police Department's Steering Committee for Storm Prevention and Fighting No. 5. Information must be transparent, accurate and timely to effectively serve the direction and operation work.
