In the discussion “Trust and Expectation” at the conference “KOL with the era of national rise” (KOL summit 2025), Director of the Department of Performing Arts ( Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ) Nguyen Xuan Bac, shared about the ironic situation encountered during the operation. Through the story, the problem of online fraud and the vigilance of the people are shown.
Specifically, Mr. Bac said he often participates in lucky draw programs with brands. The event is sponsored by the Vietnam Consumer Protection Association and many prestigious agencies. However, the lucky winners showed a reserved attitude when called to inform them.
Specifically, when People's Artist Xuan Bac introduced himself and told the other end of the line that he was the lucky winner of 50 million VND, they did not believe him. "Do you know what the other end of the line said: 'For you all'," the Director of the Department of Performing Arts recounted. After that, the organizing committee tried to contact him again but was unsuccessful.
When the number was redialed, the next customer also did not believe that he had received a call from People's Artist Xuan Bac informing him that he had won the prize. "I know Mr. Xuan Bac as an actor, but I don't know his voice. It's a scam, stop it," Mr. Bac recounted the character's words.
Through a real story, People's Artist Xuan Bac raises the reality of the crisis of trust, which is clearly evident in many situations in life.

In recent years, the situation of impersonating celebrities, authorities, and large companies to seize bank accounts and defraud money has appeared widely. Information about these forms of crime has been widely disseminated, helping people to be more vigilant. However, this also makes customers no longer trust in winning announcements, especially when AI technology impersonates images and voices.
According to experts, influencers or key opinion leaders (KOLs) need to be deeply aware of the impact of each statement, image and action. In addition, management agencies and technology platforms must work together to orient and protect the community from false information, eliminate negative impacts, and strengthen the "trust shield" of society.
At the event, representatives of the National Cyber Security Association shared more details about the “Influencer Trust” program, an initiative to raise awareness about law and ethics, and spread the message that online influencers need to be responsible.
Participants in the “Influencer Trust” program include KOLs, KOCs, online sellers, online community administrators, and businesses and media organizations.
A set of community standards on ethical standards and content quality responsibilities of the KOL community will also be built, based on the foundations of ethical values, social responsibility and legal requirements. This standard will also reference many standards from countries around the world such as France, the US, and the UK.
Upon completion of the program, influencers will be awarded a certificate valid for 12 months. Assessment results and certificate information are public, transparent, and have a post-audit and re-verification process.
