Final round of the contest "I love folk melodies" for high school students in Thai Binh province in 2025

On the evening of April 6, the Provincial Youth Center organized the final round of the "I love folk songs" contest for high school students in Thai Binh province in 2025. Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Van Huy, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

At the final night, 15 contestants/contestant groups performed excellently in many types of folk art such as: Cheo singing, Xam singing, Quan Ho folk songs, solo performances, traditional musical instrument ensembles... The contestants invested a lot in their performances, thereby expressing their love and passion for the traditional art of the nation. The performances were highly appreciated by the judges for their quality and received enthusiastic cheers from the audience. The Organizing Committee awarded second prize to the contest I love folk songs in 2025.

In the end, the organizing committee awarded 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 6 third prizes to the best contestants. In addition, the secondary prizes were awarded at the final night for: the youngest contestant, the contestant with the most impressive voice and the prize for preserving and promoting traditional values. On this occasion, the Cheo Theater awarded certificates of merit and encouragement prizes to 5 contestants with the best Cheo voices and the most impressive performances. The Center for Preservation of Traditional Vietnamese Performing Arts and Associate Professor Dr. Ha Hoa - the jury of the competition also presented prizes and books on Cheo art to the contestants.

The Organizing Committee awarded third prize to the 2025 I Love Folk Songs contest.

This is the second year the "I love folk songs" contest has been held to create a healthy and useful cultural playground for young people. The contest contributes to promoting the cultural and artistic movement in schools. At the same time, it contributes to affirming Thai Binh as a land rich in cultural traditions and civilization, always caring for educating generations of young people about their homeland's traditions, forming in them the mindset of preserving, maintaining and developing national culture.

The organizers awarded prizes to the contestant with the most impressive voice. The organizers awarded the prize to the youngest contestant of the contest. Cheo Theater awarded certificates of merit and encouragement prizes to 5 contestants with the best Cheo voices and most impressive performances.


Contestants perform excerpts from ancient Cheo at the competition. The contests are elaborately staged, expressing love for homeland and country. The audience cheered enthusiastically for the contestants.
