Previously, the investor of this expressway, a joint venture of contractors Deo Ca Group and Company 194, planned to collect tolls from May 2, 2024. However, the investor's representative said that tolls have not been collected for the Cam Lam-Vinh Hao expressway because they are waiting for a decision from the Ministry of Transport. The Cam Lam-Vinh Hao section investment and construction project is part of the project to build a number of expressway sections on the North-South eastern route in the 2017-2020 period. The project has a total investment of VND 8,925 billion, with a length of 78.5km, passing through three provinces: Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan .

According to the investor representative, from April 26 to 10:00 a.m. on May 2, 74,373 vehicles traveled through the route. 48 vehicles had problems on the road, and were quickly rescued to ensure traffic safety. There was a collision on the route, with no casualties or damage to the road infrastructure. The temporary rest stop on the Cam Lam-Vinh Hao highway was in operation during the holiday, serving tens of thousands of vehicles and tens of thousands of people entering the station. Vehicles entered and exited the rest stop safely, without any incidents.
