On the afternoon of November 8, at the Presidential Palace,President Vo Van Thuong presented the Decision appointing Mr. Lai Thai Binh, Deputy Director of the East Sea Institute, Diplomatic Academy, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of the Philippines, concurrently to the Republic of Palau, for the 2023-2026 term.
Ambassador Lai Thai Binh was born in 1976 in Hanoi and has a PhD in International Relations.
Starting to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2002, Mr. Lai Thai Binh has held many different positions, leadership and management positions domestically and at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad.
He has held the following positions: Deputy Director of the Americas Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Deputy Consul General - Second Person, Consulate General of Vietnam in Houston, USA; Deputy Director of the East Sea Institute, Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
