According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from July 10 to July 12, the Northern region will have common rain from 70-150mm, some places over 300mm, Quang Ninh region has common rain from 50-200mm. To proactively respond to the above natural disaster situation, the Provincial Office of Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requests localities and units to strictly implement the content of Official Dispatch No. 4213/CD-BNNMT dated July 9, 2025 on proactively responding to heavy rain, risks of floods, inundation, flash floods, and landslides.
In particular, focus on closely monitoring forecasts and warnings about heavy rain, risks of floods, inundation, flash floods, landslides and providing timely and complete information to local authorities and people for proactive prevention.
Localities should propagate and mobilize people (pay attention to children and students on summer vacation) not to fish, collect firewood, or swim during floods; organize on-duty guards at sluices and spillways when floods occur; at the same time, check spontaneous tourist spots along rivers and streams, and request the evacuation of tourists there when it rains (pay attention to rains occurring on weekends).
Localities and units are ready with forces and means to implement measures to respond to situations caused by rain. Reservoir management units are closely monitoring water levels at the reservoirs and are ready with plans to lower water levels in case of major floods.
The Provincial Office of Natural Disaster Prevention also requires localities and units to organize shifts to monitor weather and natural disaster situations to receive information and promptly report to the Provincial Office of Natural Disaster Prevention when situations arise.
