Announcing the results of the vote to approve the regional minimum wage plan for 2026, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and Chairman of the National Wage Council Nguyen Manh Khuong said that 13/16 council members voted in favor of the regional minimum wage plan for 2026.

"After the three parties exchanged and discussed, and the parties put forward many assumptions and situations, especially factors related to the country's economic development process, the council members highly agreed with the plan to increase the regional minimum wage by 7.2% in 2026, with the increase date being January 1, 2026," Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Khuong informed.

The Chairman of the National Wage Council assessed that this is a good rate, suitable for the current period. It is suitable for the country's economic development orientation, towards the era of national development and the 8% economic growth according to the Party's policy this year and the following years, which will achieve double digits.
