At 11:45 a.m. on July 3, Vietnam Airlines flight VN337 departing from Osaka (Japan) landed at Da Nang International Airport. This is the first direct flight connecting Osaka - Da Nang after a temporary suspension, demonstrating the continuous efforts to restore and expand the aviation network connecting Da Nang and major cities in Japan after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang Nguyen Thi Hoai An presented gifts to congratulate the first passengers on flight VN337 landing at Da Nang airport at noon on July 3.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Japan and Northeast Asia are still one of the important international markets for Vietnam Airlines, with an average growth rate of 20% per year. The restoration of the Osaka - Da Nang route with a frequency of 4 flights/week on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, combined with the current Narita - Da Nang route with a frequency of 7 flights/week, has increased the total number of flights connecting Da Nang with major cities in Japan to 11 flights/week.

“The close coordination between destination promotion and flight restoration is showing clear results. In the first 6 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed more than 108,000 Japanese visitors, accounting for 4.16% of the total number of international visitors, a slight increase compared to the same period last year,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An.
