Previously, on July 16, patient C. was admitted to the hospital with abdominal distension lasting 7 days, without symptoms of vomiting, fever or bowel disorders. The family said that C. had never used any home treatment medication.
After performing a CT scan and emergency consultation with experts from Hanoi Medical University, doctors diagnosed the child with an extremely large lymphoma. This tumor had compressed the entire abdomen, pushing on the organs, endangering the patient's life.
Immediately afterwards, doctors at Lao Cai General Hospital No. 3 performed endoscopic surgery. The surgery lasted 1 hour, and the entire tumor was safely removed. The surgery was a success, and the patient is currently recovering well.
