Recently, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control under the Ministry of Public Security has synchronously deployed measures and professional work to combat and destroy many large-scale and complex gambling rings and gangs, and online gambling organizations nationwide.

Professional units also regularly exchange and coordinate with functional units of the Ministry of Information and Communications to proactively review, detect, and block websites, links, and social network accounts that advertise and organize gambling in cyberspace.

The results of all aspects of work have contributed to repelling and preventing the complex activities of gambling crimes, limiting economic damage and consequences for society, and maintaining security and order in cyberspace.

However, recently, the activities of this type of crime have become increasingly sophisticated, constantly changing access domain names, using server systems located abroad to avoid detection, tracking, and prevention by functional units. The subjects use social networking platforms, especially Facebook, to post advertising information about online gambling activities.

Some subjects also spread false "denunciations" about the work of fighting and handling "websites" and gambling rings of the authorities. The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Public Security affirmed that this is malicious, false information aimed at attracting public opinion, attacking and discrediting the authorities for the purpose of advertising about websites and gambling rings.
