The ship that docked was the German ESHIP 1 departing from Sines Port - Portugal, the ship carried a total of 51 wind turbine blades and 204 auxiliary equipment for the wind power industry manufactured by Enercon Group.
The event is not only a milestone for a ship carrying heavy equipment to dock in 2025, but also a strong commitment to improving operational efficiency and increasingly perfecting ancillary services, making Trung Nam Ca Na International Port one of the industrial ports, serving customers from all over the world , helping businesses optimize their supply chains, minimize costs and traffic time.
After docking at the port, the 51 wind turbine blades will continue to be transported through SMC Services and Engineering Joint Stock Company (SMC) - a unit providing comprehensive solutions for large-scale structural construction for the energy sector, heavy industry, transport infrastructure, and transporting oversized and overweight equipment to projects.
The landmark of Trung Nam Ca Na International Port is present on the maritime map, specializing in serving industrial equipment.
Taking the lead in new energy projects
The event of welcoming the first ship carrying wind power equipment to the port shows that Trung Nam Ca Na International Port is ready in terms of infrastructure and has begun a new development phase, anticipating new projects in the adjusted Power Plan VIII, energy infrastructure projects, including the most recent one transporting equipment for the construction of the Ca Na LNG plant, Ninh Thuan Nuclear Power Plant, and the offshore wind system with the core value chain of the renewable energy industry.
In the near future, in the plan to implement the National Power Development Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed to develop 2 inter-regional renewable energy industrial and service centers in localities, including Ninh Thuan. Trung Nam Ca Na Port will continue to be invested in and built, becoming a super-heavy port to expand services for the wind power industry, especially serving offshore wind power projects with cargo components up to 15,000 tons.
Trung Nam Ca Na International Port in Thuong Diem 2 Village, Phuoc Diem 2 Commune, Thuan Nam District, Ninh Thuan Province has a total investment of 5,600 billion VND, phase 1 invested by Trung Nam Investment - Construction Joint Stock Company with a total planning area of 85.52 hectares including 2 ports to receive general cargo, container cargo, and bulk cargo with a capacity of up to 100,000 DWT. The port is currently in the process of completing Ca Na port phase 2 (berth 1B) to increase the load capacity to serve oversized and overweight cargo.
