Trade Unions at all levels join hands to build advanced, exemplary new rural areas

Implementing the national target program on new rural construction (NTM), in recent years, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province have actively mobilized all resources, coordinated with socio-political organizations, and mobilized workers, civil servants, and laborers to promote initiative and creativity, actively participate in building advanced and exemplary NTM, contributing to gradually changing the face and building rural areas into livable areas.

Implementing the policy of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the province on participating in the program of building advanced and model new rural areas, the provincial Confederation of Labor has coordinated with the Trade Unions at all levels to specify the criteria in the program of building advanced and model new rural areas and develop an implementation plan to ensure that it is consistent with the functions and tasks of the unit. Accordingly, focusing on promoting propaganda work; encouraging enterprises to expand production scale, create more jobs, increase the rate of trained workers; doing well in social security work; launching emulation movements to improve productivity, product quality, increase income for workers; supporting workers with housing difficulties through the program "Trade Union Shelter"; striving for 100% of workers in units with Trade Union organizations to participate in social insurance, health insurance, and to be organized for periodic health check-ups and occupational disease examinations; receive propaganda on laws directly related to life and work and receive legal aid when needed... Every year, trade unions at all levels organize thousands of propaganda sessions so that workers can clearly understand and promote their role in building new rural areas through specialized conferences, mid-term and final reviews, making the task of participating in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas a criterion for emulation and reward to commend trade union organizations and individuals who do well in the program. Continue to promote the emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", "All people unite to build cultural life in residential areas", "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene" ... flexibly coordinate the implementation of emulation movements associated with the emulation movement to build new rural areas such as "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", "Building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction" ... By regularly creating conditions and encouraging workers to participate in the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers", promoting initiatives at all levels, sectors and fields, many jobs and incomes have been created for workers. Typical examples include Mr. Duong Thanh Do, a worker in the hairdressing department, Mr. Bui Van Sang, a worker in the Roto department of Dream Plastic Nam Dinh Co., Ltd. (Truc Ninh) who had initiatives to increase the value and benefit the company by 200 million VND/year. Many workers have 2-3 initiatives/year such as Mr. Le Van Dong, a technical worker at Dinh Moc Mechanical Company Limited (Xuan Truong), Mr. Nguyen Huy Quang, a worker at Nam Dinh Steel Mesh Joint Stock Company. Thanks to the promotion of emulation movements, each year there are over 10 thousand scientific research topics, technical innovation initiatives to rationalize production of workers that are accepted and put into practical application in production, not only helping businesses to develop more and more, expand production, increase the rate of people having jobs and increase income for workers.

In addition, the Trade Unions at all levels actively focus on creating conditions for employees to study to improve their skills, professional qualifications and expertise; propose to the government, professionals and employers to have policies and regimes to encourage and facilitate time and funding for employees to participate in studying; organize and coordinate the organization of high-quality human resource training courses to meet the recruitment needs of enterprises. On average, every year, the No. 8 Technical College (under the Provincial Labor Federation) organizes nearly 200 classes with more than 3,000 students participating in the program "Improving the qualifications and professional skills of union members and workers"; coordinates with about 30 enterprises to organize training courses to upgrade the level for over 1,000 employees and vocational training for more than 500 employees. The school cooperates with universities and vocational schools in the province to organize in-service training, connecting university classes in law, accounting, state management, and business administration for nearly 350 students. Along with vocational training classes, the provincial trade unions have organized for over 85% of employees to participate in research, study, and learn basic political knowledge. Thanks to actively opening training classes, each year tens of thousands of employees participate in training classes; contributing to increasing the rate of trained workers, workers with degrees and certificates; reducing the rate of poor and near-poor households, contributing to the criteria for building advanced and exemplary new rural areas of the province.

In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor actively organizes cultural and social activities, mobilizing trade unions at all levels to organize cultural and artistic exchange activities, sports: men's football, badminton, volleyball, tug of war...; Workers' singing contests, cultural exchanges on holidays, national anniversaries, traditional days of the industry... among workers. Many grassroots trade unions coordinate with enterprises and local authorities to build sports grounds, install outdoor sports equipment in public places and cultural houses. To promote support for workers in difficult housing circumstances through the "Union Shelter" program, trade unions at all levels have actively promoted and mobilized union members and workers to support the establishment of the Union Member Support Fund. In the past 5 years, the whole province has mobilized more than 3,583 billion VND to build the "Union Shelter" Fund, of which the source of funding from union members is more than 3,516 billion VND; The “Golden Heart” Fund (Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) supported 60 million VND. Trade unions at all levels supported the construction of new houses for 63 workers, with a budget of more than 2.564 billion VND; supported the repair of houses for 51 workers, with a budget of more than 1.018 billion VND, contributing to increasing the rate of people with solid houses in the program of building advanced and exemplary new rural areas. The work of propaganda, dissemination and legal education has been actively focused on. Every year, 100% of trade union organizations in enterprises integrate legal propaganda content into workers' conferences, training conferences, dialogue conferences, etc. Trade unions at all levels have organized hundreds of propaganda sessions attracting a large number of workers to participate, hanging thousands of banners, slogans, distributing leaflets, brochures, small books, pictures and photos on the prevention and fight against social evils in areas with a large number of workers, along the roads leading to enterprises, industrial zones and clusters of districts and cities. Through propaganda, dissemination and legal education activities, it is aimed at equipping workers with knowledge and raising their awareness of law compliance, contributing to good compliance with the State's laws, maintaining political security, social order and safety in the area, etc.

With practical and specific actions, mobilizing the participation of trade unions at all levels, union members, and employees, it not only creates more resources for localities to build advanced and model new rural areas, but also raises awareness, roles and responsibilities of agencies and units in carrying out the province's common political tasks.
