Ministry of Industry and Trade implements the Program to apply achievements of the fourth industrial revolution

Pursuant to Decision No. 914/QD-TTg dated August 26, 2024 of the Prime Minister approving the Program on applying achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) in ensuring national energy security by 2030, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien signed Decision No. 2707/QD-BCT dated October 15 promulgating the Plan of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to implement the Program on applying achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030.

The purpose of the program is to raise awareness and responsibility for implementing the Prime Minister 's Decision on the Program for applying achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030. Identifying tasks and solutions of units under the Ministry and relevant agencies and units to implement the Program for applying achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030 is within the functions and tasks of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Integrate with tasks and solutions to implement the National Strategy on Industry 4.0 to 2030 and national sectoral strategies and plans in the fields of energy, electricity, minerals, chemicals, national petroleum and gas reserve and supply infrastructure for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 to ensure consistency.

Regarding the general tasks, the Ministry of Industry and Trade needs to preside over and coordinate with ministries, branches, localities and relevant units to organize the implementation; guide, urge and evaluate the implementation of the Program on applying achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030; organize a preliminary and final review to evaluate the results of the implementation of the Program on applying achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030.

Organize the timely implementation of tasks and solutions in the Program to apply achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030.

Ensure consistency with the organization of the implementation of the Government's action programs to implement the Party's Resolutions, the country's socio -economic development strategies and plans, the localities' and the Ministry of Industry and Trade's socio-economic development plans in each period.

Regarding specific tasks, the Deputy Ministers of Industry and Trade in charge of areas related to the Program on applying achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030 regularly monitor and direct functional units to implement the Program on applying achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030; strengthen coordination and work with ministries, branches, localities, business associations and relevant units to ensure the completion of assigned tasks; be responsible to the Minister for the implementation results.

In addition, heads of agencies and units under the Ministry are responsible for organizing the implementation of tasks and work contents in the assigned fields, ensuring quality and progress, and required deadlines; advising and proposing specific solutions and measures for management in the assigned fields, promptly reporting and advising the Ministry's leaders to consider and submit to the Government and the Prime Minister on issues beyond their authority; being responsible to the Ministry's leaders for the results of the implementation of tasks assigned to the unit.

Responsible for closely and effectively coordinating with relevant agencies and units in advising and proposing specific solutions and measures in implementing this Plan; promptly reporting to the Ministry's leaders on issues arising during the implementation process.

Regularly monitor, inspect, and supervise the progress and results of assigned tasks; evaluate the implementation of tasks and send them to the Department of Oil, Gas and Coal for synthesis and reporting to the Ministry's leaders and the Prime Minister on the results of the implementation of the Program on applying achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030 when requested.

The Department of Oil, Gas and Coal presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies to urge, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Program on applying achievements of the 4th Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security by 2030.

During the implementation of this Plan, if it is necessary to amend or supplement specific tasks, the units shall proactively report to the Minister and the leaders of the Ministry in charge, and provide information to the Department of Oil, Gas and Coal for synthesis.
