Bao Viet, a Vietnamese enterprise, has been upgraded on the sustainable business ranking table in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices-DJSI group.

This is the result of a long period of preparation and efforts to improve S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) profile based on the new criteria and standards of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices.

Bao Viet has officially been upgraded in the ranking of sustainable businesses in the Dow Jones Global Sustainability Indices (DJSI);

In January 2024, Bao Viet continued to be recognized and upgraded in the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) of S&P Global. To be evaluated in the DJSI rankings, Bao Viet needs to meet strict requirements on many factors such as: corporate financial health, stock value, transparency, sustainable business operations, etc. Being included in the international rankings has demonstrated the value and health of a leading enterprise like Bao Viet in general and the attractiveness of BVH shares in particular, thereby elevating the leading insurance enterprise in Vietnam.

The CSA Index is an annual assessment of the sustainability performance of thousands of eligible companies around the world . In 2021 and 2022, the CSA assessed more than 7,000 global companies. By April 2022, the number of companies invited and eligible to participate in the S&P CSA Index had reached more than 11,000.

With more than 20 years of operation, CSA has become a reference tool for companies and investors in assessing the materiality of financial strength, sustainable development activities and strategies to address sustainable development trends of enterprises... thereby supporting investment decisions. S&P's Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) also allows investors to assess the performance of enterprises according to ESG standards including Economy , Environment and Society with 61 sets of questions specific to each business sector, including about 100-130 questions on 23 main topics on 03 aspects of economy, society and environment.

Overall, the sustainability improvement efforts in 2023 helped Bao Viet increase its score by 6 places compared to 2022 and score higher than 66% of other businesses in the insurance industry (including 236 eligible businesses and an increase of 7% compared to 2022). The CSA Index provides professional assessments from S&P Global experts as well as assessments based on exclusive data, thereby serving as the basis for including business profiles in the world's most famous sustainability index - the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI).

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) is a global benchmark for sustainability that ranks the world's leading companies based on RobecoSAM analysis and S&P Dow Jones Indices' methodology based on free-float adjusted market capitalization and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria. In collaboration with S&P Global ESG Research, an organization of leading experts in ESG research and data analysis, companies that meet the DJSI Index will also be included in a potential sustainable investment portfolio offered to interested investors.

Bao Viet won Second Prize for Sustainable Development Report at the Listed Enterprise Awards

In December 2023, Bao Viet Group won the jury's vote to win the Second Prize in the Sustainable Development Report.
